A long time ago, onis plagued the land. People were afraid and fought for their lives every day. A group of brave heroes climbed the mountain summit to meet the divine dragon, ZhongTian. Together, they were able to bring balance to their world, shutting the onis and evil spirits in their own realm. Peace reigned for hundreds of years. The heroes were gone, the people went soft.
In the middle of lawfulness, lies chaos, and it spread. Balance was disturbed. At first, evil spirits were able to come back into the village of Jidai. They were a challenge for the inexperienced peasants, but heroes rose to the occasion, as they do. The strife bred more hatred, fear, and violence, bringing onis back to the world. Once more, a pilgrimage to the mountain summit was needed, in order to appease the divine dragon.
The mountain trail presented many trials, of honor, strength, and wisdom. As each was surpassed, they grew closer to ZhongTian. Still, the last of the trials was the greatest of them all…
